35 Beautiful Girls

35 Beautiful CGI Girls

The making of thirty five of the most beautiful CGI girls.

Amazingly detailed tutorials give a real insight into the creative process, techniques and problem solving required to generate such rich imagery. There's something for everyone; ranging from the photo-realistic to the deeply stylised.

Ndeur

Ndeur

There's some really nice illustration work in here, but I particularly love Ndeur's gorgeously customised high heels. If you're tempted to surprise the lady in your life, have a look in his Etsy shop.

This Is Sand

This Is Sand

Feeling tense? Find relaxation with this clever and well-coded Flash app. It allows you to create images reminiscent of those kitsch sand paintings you used to find in dodgy seaside towns ;-)

Twin

Twin

Really impressive motion work from this pair of Australian brothers. Two of my favourites are their adverts for Wrigley's Extra (because the characters are extremely cute), and the Nissan Powered Suit series.

Qube Konstrukt

Qube Konstrukt

Great portfolio, especially some of the motion graphics - which can be viewed in their current showreel. I particularly like this bit of model making for the Next Wave Festival, it's nice to see people successfully combining traditional and digital skills.

They also have a self-published book called Consort that is available here - I have ordered myself a copy =)

Beatmaker

Beatmaker

Beatmaker mobile instruments and music creation for iPhone 2.0 - looks like a seriously well thought out bit of software (some of the GUI screenshots are lovely).

I watched this YouTube video demo, read more on the Intua site and think I might buy this to while away the hours on those long journeys!

The Brick Lane Gallery

The Brick Lane Gallery

I saw this in the window of The Brick Lane Gallery, not sure who the artist is, but I imagine it must be part of the Free for Wall! exhibition.

Ksubi

Ksubi

Something about the Ksubi site looks strangely familiar. A bit 'tongue in cheek' but still a clever use of established user familiarity.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4

Promotional video with impressive driving, relatively subtle use of infographics (with a touch of humour), and anyway - Lamborghini has always been my favorite car manufacturer.

Google Lively

Google launched a new service today called Lively, a browser based virtual world add-on that lets users create and customize avatars and worlds and interact with other users in these rich environments.

I am Mac-based, so can't try it out as yet - please let me know if it's any good ;-)

Twistori

First person visualisation of Twitter. Messages are filtered by occurrences of emotional phrases and placed in a visual scrolling message ticker. It's very interesting to just sit and watch for a while...
