Ron Arad

Ron Arad: Restless explores three decades of Arad’s work from his early post-punk approach to his highly polished sculptural furnishings, via his architectural designs and mass produced pieces. The show also features a dramatic installation made from cutting edge LED technology which really needs to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated.

I consider this show a real 'must see', I was slightly dubious about whether it would impress but had no need to worry. The work is diverse and truly stunning and the wealth of support information and the planning of the exhibition is exemplary.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank The Barbican Art Centre for inviting me :)

Digital Blackbook

A collection of un-curated gestural data captured via bespoke software by Evan Roth.

Elegantly simplistic yet mesmerising... similar to some of the work by the Graffiti Research Lab.

Delta And Dalek At Elms Lesters

A challenging two man exhibition at the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms. Featuring new work and a site-specific installation by International artists Boris Tellegen (Delta) and James Marshall (Dalek). From the 28th August - 26th September.

Investigating space-time not only as a three dimensional environment, but as space in transformation. Two layers are produced: the physical layer, which controls the real space and shapes the volumetric base that serves as a support for a virtual projected layer that allows control of the transformation and sequentiality of space-time.

Little People

Photographic documentation of street installations using manipulated train set figurines - left to to be discovered by passers-by observant enough to notice their discreet presence.

These really amaze me - it must be fantastic to actually come across one by accident.

There is a book available soon (which I think would be well worth getting) and also a treasure hunt to coincide with the launch - sounds like fun!

I saw this in the window of The Brick Lane Gallery, not sure who the artist is, but I imagine it must be part of the Free for Wall! exhibition.

Delta Solo Show

First UK solo exhibition by one of the pioneer of the European graffiti movement, Delta, at the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms. Open from June 6th - June 28th.

Delta is renowned for his complex three dimensional styles and visually spectacular, architecturally structured lettering.
