Ron Arad

Ron Arad: Restless explores three decades of Arad’s work from his early post-punk approach to his highly polished sculptural furnishings, via his architectural designs and mass produced pieces. The show also features a dramatic installation made from cutting edge LED technology which really needs to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated.

I consider this show a real 'must see', I was slightly dubious about whether it would impress but had no need to worry. The work is diverse and truly stunning and the wealth of support information and the planning of the exhibition is exemplary.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank The Barbican Art Centre for inviting me :)

Delta And Dalek At Elms Lesters

A challenging two man exhibition at the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms. Featuring new work and a site-specific installation by International artists Boris Tellegen (Delta) and James Marshall (Dalek). From the 28th August - 26th September.

StolenSpace Group Show

The StolenSpace Christmas group show will be literally filled to the brim with new works from over 30 represented artists, plus a few new faces as a small taster of what is to come in 2009. Doors open tonight until the 21st December.

I saw them setting up yesterday - looks like it'll be a good one.

Mutate Britain

Got a sneaky peak of the Mutate Britain show - seriously impressive line-up and some stunning work. Really looking forward to the private view tomorrow, opens from Friday...

Folds In Space

Using plain white, metallic coated or colored paper, beautifully lit and photographed then mirrored until they become aesthetically interesting. Created by Rein Nomm.

So simple in concept - many of these images have a classical or mathematical elegance.

Pablo Valbuena

Investigating space-time not only as a three dimensional environment, but as space in transformation. Two layers are produced: the physical layer, which controls the real space and shapes the volumetric base that serves as a support for a virtual projected layer that allows control of the transformation and sequentiality of space-time.

Delta Solo Show

First UK solo exhibition by one of the pioneer of the European graffiti movement, Delta, at the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms. Open from June 6th - June 28th.

Delta is renowned for his complex three dimensional styles and visually spectacular, architecturally structured lettering.

Truthtag

Artist who creates cubist/constructivist installations using coloured polystyrene blocks. Some stand starkly against their backdrop and others seems to blend organically into the surroundings.
